Introduction

Ian from Bridges and Co contacted Custard Media Solutions to design him a search engine friendly website that covered all areas of ‘equity release’.  We were given the brief and asked to come up with our own ideas to make sure the website had enough relevant pages to target all the keywords in the industry.

Ian had realised there was a huge opportunity online for generating himself leads through a brochure website, if:

  • It was set up correctly with an attractive design, and
  • It was marketed correctly

Having spoken to various web agencies, he was most impressed that Custard Media could not only design and build a website that would look attractive and get the message across to his target audience with effective ‘call to actions’, but also that the website would start generating leads and enquiries from a very early stage following launch. 

With the offer of a full online marketing campaign to help promote the website following launch, it was, in our opinion, a fairly easy decision for Ian to make and one that did not break his budget for the web design and, in fact, left enough budget left over to use for an online PR campaign.

Process

  • We first carried out a review of the market area, and did thorough keyword analysis on equity release related keywords
  • Created a siteplan of pages required that encompassed all the keywords
  • Created unique title tags and meta descriptions for each page of the website
  • Created a design that was easy to navigate and provided effective imagery
  • Inserted ‘call to action’ buttons onto each page of the website to encourage conversion rates and consumer interaction
  • Launched website and indexed naturally in Google on page one for some of the long string keywords and started generating traffic to the website from day one.

Achievements to date

  • Only launching Jan 2010, the clients has already received 5 enquiries from natural traffic within a 2 week period
  • Has already caused a stir in the market place with competitors
  • Have created a brand name that will market well online
